What is lane departure warning?

An advanced system that uses cameras to identify if the driver is unintentionally swerving in and out of the lane.

What does lane departure warning do?

If the system believes the driver is inadvertently leaving their lane, the system will alert the driver, either by vibrating the steering wheel or using an audible alert.

How does lane departure warning work?

The system uses windscreen cameras to monitor the vehicle’s position on the road. If the vehicle is not within the lane lines, the driver is alerted and has to make the corrective action themselves as this is not an automatic response.
