Which vehicles have ADAS?

An increasing number of vehicles are starting to incorporate ADAS technology into their systems to improve road safety. Driving support technologies are becoming so widespread that over 90% of cars manufactured in 2018 have at least one ADAS system already fitted. However, it’s important to note that these systems are simply here to assist you, not take control of your driving. You can typically expect to find ADAS on a variety of vehicles, but most commonly on:

  • Luxury cars
  • Commercial lorries
  • Vans

The future of ADAS?

Although ADAS has been making waves in the car industry, due to the excessive innovation of the technology, it still has a long way to go. ADAS is slowly becoming the new standard in the car industry, with Ford pledging most vehicles will get the standard ADAS by 2020. It’s most likely ADAS technology will turn towards artificial intelligence to accomplish high reliability and yield a much higher safety rating.
